Join us at The Viking for the world’s biggest coffee morning, a fabulous Fika with friends, whilst raising money and awareness for the outstanding Macmillan Cancer Support Charity!
The Macmillan Charity’s goal is to make sure no one faces cancer alone. There are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer. By 2030, it will be 4 million people and we want to be there for them all. One in three of us will get cancer and it will be one of the toughest things we’ll ever have to face. 1 in 2 people will be affected by cancer in their life. That’s a frightening figure, but we recognise the importance of a tea and coffee break, community and support through those tricky times… which is why we’re getting our bake on for Friday 29th September!
Come and Fika with us for charity! Fika is a concept in Scandinavian culture that we adore and practice daily at The Viking, which simply means “to have coffee with friends”.
We recommend you Fika with a cake, pastry, cookie or pie… we’re sure you can see why we were so keen to participate in the world’s biggest coffee morning, right?!
We’re brushing up on our frosting, getting those springy sponges, lovely loaves and perfect piping down to a tee and will be serving them up for all of our friends and neighbours from 9am-12pm. We’ll be supplying all the sweet treats for us all to devour in fabulous company!
If anyone would like to donate any cakes (baked or bought), or help us with running the morning – the more the merrier, please get in touch with our lovely coffee morning coordinators, Ellie & Chelsea!
We’d love to have you onboard!
